Senior Citizens Concert 2008

One of the highlights of Guid Nychburris Week is the Concert to entertain our Senior Citizens. In years past this has been held in the evening but, due to popular demand, and ever mindful of public opinion, the organisers agreed in 2006 to move the event to the Tuesday afternoon between 2.00Pm and 4.30PM. This proved to be a great success with a larger attendance than usual and this change will remain for 2008. Accordingly, a warm welcome awaits our senior Guid Nychburris who will be treated to an afternoon of music, song and dance by Max Houliston, Donny McCuaig and Haig McCulloch & Friends, at the newly opened leisure centre, DG1.

The Festival Principals will be in attendance to serve refreshments and "have a chat". Admission and raffle are free so, whether you choose to dance, sing along or just listen to the music, please come along and join in the fun. The Festival Committee is indebted to the above local artistes who, each year, give of their time and talent free of charge, and to all who come along to help with this worthwhile cause.
