6.30 PM. Primary & Secondary Schools Five a Side Football Tournament organised by Queen of the South Football Club, at Kingholm Sports Fields. Both boys and girls will participate. All entry forms will be sent out to the schools.

6.45pm. The Queen Of The South Elect and her two attendands sail down the Nith from the Boathouse at the Greensands to the Caul on the Whitesands. (Weather Permitting). The party will then be escorted by a pipe band to the Municipal Chambers, from where the Installation Procession will depart for the Midsteeple. (see next item).   

7.30 PM. Principals Installation Ceremony at the Dumfries Midsteeple. Procession of Principals, Guests and Dignitaries from Municipal Chambers to the Midsteeple, commences at 7.00pm.
